LANCASTER, Ohio (December 5, 2011) – Fairfield Medical Center is pleased to announce the purchase of Fairfield Diagnostic Imaging (FDI) on Nov. 22.
The outpatient-imaging center offers imaging and radiology services utilizing advanced technology. Fairfield Diagnostic Imaging will retain its name, but will now be a department of Fairfield Medical Center. It will also retain the same staff including the same radiology physicians of Fairfield Imaging Associates.
“All of us at Fairfield Imaging Associates are looking forward to this new transition. It will allow us to better serve our patients and that is our top priority,” said Dr. Ronald Osgood, radiologist and FDI medical director.
Located at 1241 River Valley Boulevard, FDI specifically offers X-ray, CT scans, ultrasounds, open and highfield MRI, bone density scans, positron emission tomography (PET) scans and mammography services to people in the Southeastern Ohio region.
“This recent purchase only adds to the vast array of services we provide to people in our community,” said Sky Gettys, chief financial officer at Fairfield Medical Center. “We realize that people need options regarding high-quality outpatient diagnostic imaging services and the staff and physicians at FDI are able to provide just that. We, at Fairfield Medical Center, welcome them with open arms.”
“By Fairfield Medical Center purchasing FDI, it provides the opportunity for continued growth and expansion of imaging services for physicians and the patients in the surrounding area,” noted Mark Antal, FDI supervisor.
