Botulism update

Patients have presented with suspected botulism at Fairfield Medical Center and other Central Ohio hospitals. At this time, the Ohio Department of Health has reported that there have been 18 suspected cases, including one death (a 54-year-old female); none of these cases have yet been confirmed through laboratory testing. In addition, 21 individuals have sought treatment at hospitals in the area as a precaution.
