Fairfield Medical Center Welcomes New Chief Of Medical Affairs

Terrence B. Welsh, M.D.Fairfield Medical Center is pleased to welcome Terrence B. Welsh, M.D., as the hospital’s new Chief of Medical Affairs. Dr. Welsh will serve in a part-time capacity until May when he assumes the role full-time.

As the Chief of Medical Affairs, Dr. Welsh will be an active member of the executive team and will participate in administrative decisions for Fairfield Medical Center and Fairfield Healthcare Professionals. Dr. Welsh also will coordinate physician services and will oversee the Medical Staff Office, Physician Relations, Graduate Medical Education and Fairfield Healthcare Professionals, where he will serve as the medical director.

Dr. Welsh comes to FMC from the King’s Daughters Ohio and King’s Daughters Integrated Practices, where he served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer. He has demonstrated success in physician education and engagement, as well as a commitment to providing physician leadership for healthcare delivery in a small town community setting. He performs in the top decile as a healthcare provider in productivity (Sullivant-Cotter) and patient satisfaction (Press-Ganey).

Dr. Welsh completed his medical training at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the William Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, MI.
