"I live by this quote taken from the book "Simple Truths"; Giving is a generative act. It does not subtract from what we have but multiplies the effect we can have in the world. No praise, no tones of holy generosity. Just give, smile and walk away."
Cheri Crist, Baltimore, started in 2012

"I make a difference by having empathy for the patients and by being cheerful and helpful to the hospital visitors and employees."
Kitty Handley, Lancaster, started in 2015

"Hospitals can be scary places. We help our customers and their families be comfortable and well-informed, and have the best experience possible."
Phil Settecase, Lancaster, started in 2012

"I enjoy working in the gift shop because it’s a chance to give back to my community. I have always enjoyed meeting new people and the gift shop is a fun place to do just that."
Phyllis Jones, Baltimore, started in 2015

"With a world full of uncertainty it is such a delight to put a smile on someone's face or to offer an unexpected service. Trusting that this may result in renewing ones faith in humanity. Volunteering is a GIFT given to us."
