Cosmetic/ Plastic Surgery

FMC offers a full range of cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery options. FMC is proud to have the first and only full-time plastic surgeon in Fairfield County history. As a result, our patients now have access to such services as immediate reconstruction after mastectomy and increased options for handling complex skin cancer lesions. We have found that many diagnoses are best treated with a multi-disciplinary team encompassing physicians of several specialties, including plastic surgery. A breast cancer patient may be diagnosed by her gynecologist, consult with an oncologist, have a mastectomy by a general surgeon and be reconstructed by a plastic surgeon, all within the facilities of FMC. Patients no longer have to travel to for first-class medical care.

In addition to reconstructive surgery, our patients have access to cosmetic procedures to enhance all areas of their bodies. Plastic surgery can encompass a range of procedures from prescription skin care to minimally invasive procedures like Botox ® Cosmetic or surgical correction. The most-common procedures performed at FMC include:
