Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Whether you are recovering from a cardiac event, experiencing breathing problems, or simply wish to improve your physical fitness, cardiovascular rehabilitation offers specialized rehabilitation programs for patients who have cardiac, vascular and pulmonary diseases. This program is designed to help people with cardiovascular conditions or chronic lung disease, including those who have had heart surgery or heart catheterization, achieve the optimal level of health and fitness. It is also a fitness program for people who seek personalized exercise and help in changing their lifestyles.
We provide a professional team of registered nurses, respiratory therapists and exercise physiologists. Working together with you and your physician, the team will design an individualized program to meet your specific fitness goals. Structured exercise programs are designed to meet each person’s special lifestyle needs and exercise goals. Workout sessions are generally scheduled three times a week. Exercise sessions are monitored and medically supervised by professional staff with specific training in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and exercise physiology. Check with your cardiologist to see if our rehabilitation program is right for you.
Our program is recommended for patients who
- Are at risk for developing coronary artery disease
- Have chest pain (angina pectoris)
- Have had a balloon angioplasty or heart stent
- Have had coronary artery bypass graft surgery
- Are post-heart attack patients
- Have chronic lung disease
Based on your diagnosis, Medicare and most insurance plans may cover cardiovascular rehabilitation. Our professional staff can help obtain the doctor’s order and our business office counselors are available to help individuals make payment arrangements.
