Fairfield Medical Center Foundation Unveils Legends and Leaders Wall of Honor at Dedication Ceremony
LANCASTER, Ohio (June 30, 2011) – On June 23, 2011, Fairfield Medical Center Foundation held a Legends and Leaders Donor Wall dedication ceremony in the South Lobby with well over 100 people in attendance.
On this day, Dale Dickson, FMC Foundation Board Chairman, took the lead by noting, "Ninety-five years ago, someone in this community had a vision - a dream to erect a facility where one day, you and I, our children and grandchildren, would find help and healing." He went on to say, "The Foundation is a link between the hospital and donors, as each tries to better serve patients in the community. We have all seen the need, and it is obviously evident to all of you that our community hospital Foundation has become a lifeline."
Ricki Chenault, FMC Foundation Executive Director praised all those that have donated to the Foundation by recognizing them for their efforts. "Your generous gifts help us sustain vital health care services for our community. They also allow us to offer new services to the community like Script Assist and No One Dies Alone."
"Today, I am here to acknowledge that Fairfield Medical Center and the Foundation community continues to be encircled by legendary people. I want to recognize those among us for your continued contributions that are instrumental in the future of Fairfield Medical Center and its foundation. It is your trust and generosity that gives us an even greater reason to commemorate this day as we journey to our 100th anniversary in 2016," commented Mina Ubbing, FMC President and CEO.
On behalf of Fairfield Medical Center and the Foundation, Ubbing presented the first "Legendary Philanthropists" awards to Teresa Ryan, Fairfield Medical Center Inpatient Services Director, Dr. Dave Conley, Dave and June Harcum, and Fairfield National Bank, for their commitments to the Foundation.
