Vascular Services Lab
Vascular services, which address circulatory health issues, is a fast-growing branch of the Snider Cardiovascular Institute at Fairfield Medical Center. This group is a unique collaboration of vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and cardiologists.
Services provided range from diagnostic vascular exams to advanced treatments of vascular conditions, in areas such as the legs, neck, abdomen and kidneys.
Because of the growth of vascular services over the past several years, FMC opened a new dedicated vascular ultrasound laboratory in March to better meet the needs of patients with potential vascular conditions. The lab uses noninvasive ultrasound to look at veins and arteries throughout the body in order to determine if a vascular condition exists.
Staffed with specially trained registered vascular technologists, the lab was built to provide a dedicated space for vascular ultrasound testing.
In addition to the new lab, tests and treatments are performed using CT and MRI scanners and through angiography performed in the interventional lab.
The Institute also offers ongoing community health screenings to provide early detection opportunities for vascular problems
For more information about the many vascular services, including vascular screenings please call (740) 689-6893 to schedule.
Screenings will be scheduled on first-call, first-served basis. The cost for the screening is $75.
