LANCASTER, Ohio (January 30, 2013) – Fairfield Healthcare Professionals (FHP), an affiliate of Fairfield Medical Center, will be opening an office Feb. 4 in Bremen at 80 Logan Thornville Road. The practice, called Fairfield Healthcare Professionals Bremen, will offer both occupational health and primary care services. Primary care services will be provided by Certified Nurse Practitioner Anita Thompson and occupational health services will be provided by Dr. Jennifer Ross.

Thompson is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio University. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Thompson served as a registered nurse in the O'Bleness Memorial Hospital Emergency Department for 15 years and is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Thompson will offer a range of family practice services, including: basic checkups, treatment of common illnesses, rapid strep tests, allergy shots, flu shots and other immunizations. The family practice will take patients 18 months and older.  All major forms of insurance will be accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Appointments will be available on Tuesday through Friday with expanded hours planned for later this year.  Individuals can call the practice weekdays at (740) 569-4141 to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Ross, a board-certified physician with occupational health expertise, will be running an Occupational Health Clinic at the Bremen office, which will provide area businesses with convenient access to employee health services.

Dr. Ross has been with Fairfield Healthcare Professionals since 2010. A Logan native, Dr. Ross graduated from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Her experience in occupational health medicine will help area employers to maintain a healthier workforce and reduce lost productivity due to minor work-related injuries and illness.

The Occupational Health Clinic will be open during regular business hours Monday through Wednesday, with same-day appointments available.  Walk-in appointments also will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested employers can arrange occupational health services for their business by contacting Dr. Ross at (740) 569-4141.
