Childbirth
If there is a baby in your future, FMC is here to help the entire family prepare and assist before, during and after childbirth. We provide one-on-one nursing care for mothers in labor and also have lactation counselors on-site to consult with new moms. Our labor and delivery suites are large, attractively decorated and give the family room and privacy to bond with the newest member of the family. Childbirth Education
Fairfield Medical Center provides childbirth and maternity classes including breastfeeding, infant/child CPR, “Getting to Know Your New Sibling,” grandparenting, childbirth and car-seat safety. FMC’s Childbirth Education Coordinator is Cheryl Eads, RN, BSN, CCE, who can be reached at (740) 687-8218.

Lactation Counseling
Fairfield Medical Center also provides lactation counseling and is available at (740) 687-8953. Our lactation counselors provide services to both inpatients and outpatients, and they are also available for phone consultations to assist with breastfeeding questions and concerns.
