Cute little boy at speech therapist officeOur speech pathologists work with children and adults who exhibit communication disorders, such a pronunciation problems, voice problems, stuttering, difficulty understanding or using spoken and/or written language, or who have difficulty swallowing.

Speech therapy is offered at Fairfield Medical Center for both inpatients and outpatients. Modified barium swallowing evaluations also are performed.

From letter boards to computer software, there are many types of AAC methods ranging from no tech, low-tech and high-tech that the speech therapy team at Fairfield Medical Center can utilize to help patients communicate or expand communication abilities.
