LANCASTER, Ohio (January 20, 2012) – Fairfield Medical Center (FMC) is pleased to announce that Jarrod Bruce, M.D. Christian Tencza, M.D. and Andrew Twehues, M.D. have obtained certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in the area of critical care medicine. All three physicians are critical care pulmonologists at FMC.
Board certification indicates that Drs. Bruce, Tencza and Twehues have completed clinical training through a program approved by the American Board of Internal Medicine. The physicians passed rigorous examinations that are designed, constructed and conducted to evaluate a physician’s understanding of the specified criteria.
“Such certification shows the dedication that each of these physicians have to providing a better quality of life for their patients in Southeastern Ohio,” said Dr. Steven Cox, chief medical officer at FMC.
Dr. Bruce completed his medical school training at The Ohio State University College of Medicine along with his internship, residency and fellowship. Dr. Tencza completed his medical school training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, as well as his internship, residency and fellowship. Dr. Twehues completed his medical school training at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and his internship, residency and fellowship at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
