“This electronic reporting system allows our firefighter’s to enter vital patient information while on the emergency scene. We can then send the information wirelessly to Fairfield Medical Center’s Emergency Department,” said Assistant Fire Chief Dave Ward. “This new system also allows for advance notification to be given to the Emergency Department staff, allowing them more time to prepare for the patient’s arrival; thereby, improving the outcome for those critically ill patients the Lancaster Fire Department transports. On behalf of all of us here at the Lancaster Fire Department, I thank the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation for providing the funds needed to purchase this new technology.”
Chenault noted, “This technology will greatly benefit people in the Lancaster community and the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation jumped at the opportunity to help. It is all about streamlining patient care and making sure patients receive the best care possible.”
