LANCASTER, Ohio (October 4, 2011) – Fairfield Medical Center was recently honored for its Excellence in Medical Marketing. Hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images Incorporated, the Aster Awards is one of the largest national competitions of its kind. This elite program recognizes healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising and marketing efforts for the calendar year 2010.
Fairfield Medical Center won a Gold Award for its magazine publication in the single entry category. “It’s a fantastic honor to be recognized among peers for our work on our quarterly published magazine, the Monitor,” said Devon Marshall, Graphic Artist at Fairfield Medical Center. “The main goal was to promote more awareness of the dangers of opiate abuse. It felt good knowing we could make a difference by acknowledging the problem and resources available in our community to combat it.”
“This would not have been possible without the support of our community and law enforcement partners, as well as the excellent contribution of our entire staff and patients,” said Heidi Reed, Editor of the Fairfield Medical Center Monitor magazine and Community Services Coordinator.
The 2011 Aster Awards received approximately 3,000 entries from across the United States, Canada and South America. Participant’s entries competed against similar sized organizations in their category. Entries must score at least in the top 16% to receive an award. Judging criteria include creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality, and overall appeal.
“It was an honor to have the number of healthcare organizations and agencies that participated in the 2011 Aster Awards Competition. The quality of this year’s entries went well beyond the judges’ expectations,” said Melinda R. Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator.
All winners are posted on the Aster Awards website (www.AsterAwards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine
