LANCASTER, Ohio (July 21, 2011) – Fairfield Medical Center and Fairfield Christian Academy are proud to host the 2011 Community HealthFest on Saturday, August 6. HealthFest will be held at the Fairfield Christian Church again this year, 1965 N. Columbus St., in Lancaster, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
“Healthfest is an annual event that offers many services to adults and children of all ages. We are focusing more on being physically fit this year with a variety of services and activities to promote the health and well being of people in our community,” commented Resa Tobin, Fairfield Medical Center Community Educator.
Among the services that will be provided are cholesterol and glucose screenings, vision and hearing tests, spinal screenings, glaucoma, blood pressure and bone density testing as well as childhood immunizations (please bring your immunization records with you). The free children immunization clinic is made possible by the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation, United Way, Fairfield Department of Health and the Lancaster Rotary.
There will also be a blood drive, food and prizes, dental exams, health information, and much more. For your convenience, appointments for children 18 years of age and younger are recommended for the dental exams, by calling (740) 653-1305.
The Community Healthfest is a great event for children because of the many activities they can involve themselves in. There will be face painting, WiiTM games, and backpack checks, along with helicopters and police cars to explore. There will also be free school supplies available, (children must be present) while supplies last.
For more information or if you have questions, please call the Fairfield Medical Center Marketing and Community Services Department at (740) 687-8007.
