Why am I getting multiple bills?

Depending on the care you receive, you may get multiple bills.

The bills you get from Fairfield Medical Center include charges for services or procedures received in the hospital, inpatient and outpatient locations. These charges may include costs for a room, meals, medications, technicians, nursing, labs, equipment, therapists or administration.

If your provider is a part of Fairfield Healthcare Professionals, you will receive a separate bill that includes charges for  services provided by the doctor or other healthcare professionals.

While receiving care at Fairfield Medical Center, you might be seen by a private (non-FMC or FHP) doctor who provides your care. This can be an anesthesiologist, emergency medicine doctor, radiologist, pathologist or others. These private doctors work at our locations but are not part of FMC or FHP. These providers will send you a separate bill as well.

FMC Example

Olivia delivers a baby at Fairfield Medical Center. She will receive a bill, from FMC, for the room, medications, supplies and other misc. items.

Doctor Example

Olivia’s obstetrician provided care during the deliver. She will receive a separate bill from that provider.
