In 2021, Fairfield Medical Center’s Bariatric Services Program received national recognition from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), officially accrediting the service as a Center of Excellence.
This accomplishment reflects our program’s ability to hold up to rigorous review, meeting and exceeding national quality standards. FMC’s comprehensive program joins an elite group of surgery centers committed to improving the safety, quality and surgical outcomes of bariatric procedures across the country.
