PAT Clinic

A Pre-Admission Testing Medical Office visit is the best way to prepare for positive surgical outcomes. If you are unable to keep this appointment, it may result in a delay or cancellation of your surgery.

A PAT Clinic appointment should be scheduled within 30 days of the surgery. We will work with your office to schedule a time for your consultation.

The PAT Clinic appointment will consist of a History and Physical Exam, and a discussion about the current health status of your patient. We will also complete any additional testing required to provide a clearance for a safe surgical procedure. These results will be reviewed by an anesthesiologist prior to surgery and is a critical component to the process.

Patients are asked to bring a complete list of current medications and dosages (prescription, over-the-counter and herbals) to the PAT Clinic appointment.

Common tests conducted during the PAT appointment:

  • Complete blood count (CBC)
  • Complete medical profile
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG)
  • Urinalysis
  • X-rays
