Fairfield Medical Center is committed to price transparency and the belief that patients should know what a hospital will charge for items and services provided. As part of our effort to increase price transparency, you can review our standard charges, which include the prices for a comprehensive list of services offered by FMC.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), mandated hospital price transparency, whereby, hospitals are required to make available a list of their current standard charges via internet in a machine-readable format and update at least annually, or more often as appropriate. FMC affirms in our machine-readable file that, to the best of our knowledge and belief, we have included all applicable standard charge information in accordance with the requirements of this section, and that the information encoded is true, accurate, and complete as of the date indicated in the machine-readable file.
Our charges are the same for all patients, but the amount a patient is responsible for may vary, depending on payment plans negotiated with your health insurance companies and your out-of-pocket responsibility (i.e., deductible, co-insurance, copays, etc.). We encourage uninsured or underinsured patients to contact our patient financial team at 1-866-826-9815. Keep in mind that very few patients will pay the charge amount listed due to the amount covered by your insurance company.
