Steven D. Cox MD

Steven D. Cox MD FACS received his M.D. degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1979. He completed his surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1984, and immediately started a general surgery practice in Lancaster, Ohio. 20 years ago, he began performing varicose vein surgery through minimally invasive techniques in the office, using the laser ablation technique when it became available in 2004. He now works in the Fairfield Healthcare Professionals medical group associated with Fairfield Medical Center. In addition to varicose vein surgeries, he also performs upper endoscopies and colonoscopies, evaluation of GERD, excision of superficial lesions including skin cancers, and breast evaluations with ultrasound and biopsies when indicated. He received certification from the American Board of Surgery in 1985, and achieved recertification in 1995, 2004 and 2014.
