About Corissa Culichia, DO
When asked what part of her work she finds the most rewarding, Dr. Culichia answered, “I enjoy the resiliency seen within pediatrics – it never ceases to amaze me how much a child, even a newborn can overcome. It is seeing that strength within the hospital’s tiniest humans – that is the why I fell in love with pediatric medicine. Helping children overcome illness, despite all odds, is what I find most rewarding.”
When not at the hospital, Dr. Culichia is a big runner. She has done a half marathon yearly since 2012. She loves being outdoors – hiking, swimming, sunbathing – anything in the sun makes her happy. Dr. Culichia is Italian so she grew up cooking and backing with her family and really enjoys creating new recipes and making some of her family’s traditional dishes.
“Pediatrics has always been the specialty I've wanted to dedicate my studies to - I find it a very gratifying role to be able to improve the health of a pediatric patient with family centered care and optimizing resources and education to families.” - Corissa Culichia, DO
