"What will I do if my OB/GYN is unavailable when I need them?"

Has this thought ever crossed your mind?

We’re sure it has at some point in your pregnancy. Fairfield Medical Center would like to assure you that we are prepared if that time comes.

Fairfield Medical Center has partnered with Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) to provide an OB/GYN Hospitalist service on our main campus. OBGH is the nation’s largest and only dedicated provider of customized women’s health solutions, focused on improving access to care and ensuring all women receive timely, unconditional obstetric care.  A quality team of skilled and dedicated providers has been selected to carry out the mission of improving patient care, safety and outcomes.

OBGH does not replace your primary OB/GYN provider. If requested by your provider, OBHG can manage your labor and delivery until your own provider arrives. During your stay, the hospitalists will work closely with your OB/GYN provider to maintain continuity of care.

OBHG provides care to women admitted to the FMC Maternity Department or the Emergency Department at the main campus.

OBHG are board certified Obstetricians & Gynecologists providing 24/7 in-house coverage.

Fairfield Medical Center is dedicated to providing you with exceptional care, and our OB physicians and maternity staff want your birth experience to be as comfortable as possible.

If you do not have an OB/GYN and are pregnant or experiencing gynecological problems, we recommend you schedule an appointment with one as soon as possible.
