Cardiac rehabilitation helps patients recover and improve their health following a heart attack, heart surgery or other cardiac condition. Staffed by exercise physiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals, the program provides a combination of medically supervised exercise and in-depth education and support to make healthy lifestyle changes, such as maintaining a healthy weight, eating heart healthy food, managing stress and avoiding tobacco. Each patient has a personalized treatment plan focused on increasing strength and endurance, controlling symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath, and improving overall confidence and well-being.
