Living in Fairfield County
Fairfield County’s rich history, vibrant culture and warm summers offer plenty of opportunity to celebrate outdoors with a wide variety of festivals and arts and entertainment events.
Our community is a growing area southeast of Columbus. The area offers a diversity of cultural amenities found in much larger cities, yet still maintains its small-town charm.
Fairfield County contains more than 1,000 acres of beautiful parks, which are perfect for picnicking, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. Our historical park district features a former presidential cemetery, a section of the Ohio and Erie Canal, five of the county’s 18 original covered bridges and a gristmill that boasts the nation’s largest all-wooden waterwheel.
