We are pleased that you made the decision to become part of our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Below you will find some helpful tips that will assist you in planning your first week with FMC.
Professional attire is required for orientation. Scrubs (if permitted as part of your position) can also be worn. Jeans are not permitted.
Please refer to the parking map that was provided from Human Resources. A copy of the map is also available in Paycom / Documents / Parking Map. On Day 1, Lot F will be the most convenient staff lot. Upon entering the building through the main (South) entrance, follow signage to Human Resources. The parking policy will be discussed on the first day of orientation.
Orientation begins with a welcome from our CEO and Senior Leadership team. The morning will consist of various speakers and activities to help familiarize you with Fairfield Medical Center. Your manager or preceptor will meet you for lunch (lunch is provided) and you will have the opportunity to spend time in your department before returning to orientation to meet with the Benefits Coordinator from Human Resources. Prior to attending orientation, please review the benefit information and prepare any questions you may have for our Benefits Coordinator.
All new employees, contract staff, and providers will attend General Orientation on Day 2. New clinical staff members will attend Clinical Orientation on Days 3 – 5, as needed, based on their position. During lunch on Monday, your manager or preceptor will give you an idea of what to expect in your department the rest of the week.
New employees are paid for their time spent in orientation. Employees are paid their base hourly rate of pay.
