Heart Failure Clinic
Fairfield Medical Center’s Heart Failure Clinic is empowering patients to live the best quality of life with heart failure.
The clinic has a multidisciplinary approach with education being provided by a nurse practitioner, registered nurses, dietitians and pharmacists. This includes education about diagnosis, dietary restrictions, exercise, medications and symptom monitoring. Patients are monitored for any changes in their condition allowing for quick administration of appropriate medical treatment.
The clinic is run by Dr. Michael Reining, medical director and Jill Kennedy, certified nurse practitioner. The Heart Failure Clinic is for outpatients who have been referred by their primary care provider or cardiologist. Our clinic is located on the First Floor of FMC near the Observation Unit and is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday though Friday. With a physicians order, appointments can be scheduled by calling 740-687-8173.
