The Orthopedic Unit at Fairfield Medical Center is a beautiful 21-bed unit designed to make patients feel at home and comfortable during their stay. Fifteen private-bed rooms are dedicated to total joint replacement patients, while the remaining three semi-private rooms are available for general orthopedic surgery. The remainder of the unit is dedicated to fracture patients and other orthopedic injuries.
The home-like feel of the rooms are designed to help accelerate recovery and provide the utmost recovery. Since patients are encouraged to have a loved one or family member accompany them during their stay, each of these rooms is equipped with a television, guest seating and a pullout bed. Many amenities are offered to patients and their guests.
