Attention: Precautionary Boil Water Advisory
Update: Nov. 25, 9:25 p.m.
Fairfield Medical Center has returned to normal operations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Update: Nov. 25, 5 p.m.
While the City of Lancaster has rescinded the precautionary boil water advisory, Fairfield Medical Center must complete a series of precautions before resuming normal operations. Staff, patients and visitors: Please be advised that water advisory protocols remain in effect until further notice, allowing our team to flush water lines and further ensure the health and safety for those we serve. FMC remains open and ready to care for you, and we appreciate your ongoing patience.
For those who have questions about how to proceed at home, the City of Lancaster has indicated that tap water can be used for all purposes as the water advisory is lifted and water quality has been deemed safe. Before using the tap water after a precautionary boil advisory has been lifted, however, it is often recommended to throw out ice, flush faucets by running water for several minutes, and clean appliances using the manufacturer’s settings to ensure the removal of all potentially contaminated water.
