Mary NashFairfield Medical Center is pleased to welcome Mary Nash, PhD, to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer. Mary joined the FMC team in July, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in executive leadership, particularly in the areas of coaching, consulting, education and research.

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Mary will serve as an advisor to other senior staff on strategic and operational HR matters, and will provide leadership and guidance on projects and programs related to talent acquisition, succession planning, retention, career development, training and education, organization & leadership development, compensation & benefits, employee experience and more. In addition to Human Resources, Mary will also oversee diversity, equity and inclusion, the FMC Foundation, FMC Police and the volunteers.

Mary’s previous leadership experience includes progressive roles in large, complex health systems. She comes to FMC from Beth Israel Lahey Health, a 13-hospital academic health system in Massachusetts, where she served as the Vice President of Talent Development. Mary has more than a decade of experience in healthcare executive leadership, and a proven record of improving recruitment and retention through leadership, management, team and talent development, and implementing processes to enhance employee experience and culture.

“While Mary’s vast experience and education uniquely demonstrate her qualifications, it was her immediate personal connection to FMC, her small-town community spirit, cultural alignment and humility that truly make her such a great fit for our organization,” said FMC president and CEO John R. “Jack” Janoso, Jr. “Mary leads with a ‘people first’ philosophy, and holds great perspective and knowledge to create action-oriented innovation.”
